Aloo Curry recipe

Ingredients:
  • Potatoes 2 large boiled, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • Onions 2 chopped
  • Green chilies 4 chopped
  • Tomatoes 2 chopped
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Urad Daal 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves 1 sprig
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Water 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

  • Procedure:
  • Heat oil in a pan, season with mustard and cumin seeds, urad daal, curry leaves and fry for few minutes till daal turns golden brown.
  • Add green chilies, onions, coriander powder and fry for another 5 minutes.
  • Now add tomatoes and cook until they become soft. Then add potato pieces and stir well.
  • Add water, red chili powder and salt to taste and simmer for 3-4 mins.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with dosas or chapaatis or pooris.
